- Who: Dan "Haplo" Ballard
- Where: Vancouver, BC, Canada
- Why: Mindstab.net is my brain dump and playground. Lots of information on my various experiments and projects. And indexed by google, it turns out to be vaguely useful to the internet (several of my posts are the first result for certain somewhat obscure google queries). The site is just a useful place to store plans, projects (new and old), and test things out. All in one central location. It acts as a nexus for me on the net.
- When: I've been running Mindstab.net since I started it on a cyrix 486 (Holly) in my bedroom on a ADSL line in grade 12. Mindstab.net launched on January 9, 2002.
- How: Currently, a Pentium 4 2.8GHz rack mount server (Kvasir) with Gentoo Linux on a ADSL bussiness line. I make good use of WordPress and a few plugins, Gallery (G2), MediaWiki, and PlanetPlanet. All, of course on top of, Apache, PHP, MySQL and lots of other opensource goodness.
